The Yeti MT X0/90 Bike w/Carbon Wheels puts Yeti's Sixfinity suspension and TURQ Series Carbon frame within reach of riders who don't need the priciest build kit to get the platform's core performance. This version pairs a mixed SRAM X0/90 drivetrain with an upgrade to DT Swiss XMC1700 EVO carbon wheels, closing much of the performance gap to the top-shelf XX AXS build at a lower price point.
Every MT, regardless of build kit, runs on the same Sixfinity six-bar suspension linkage — 140mm of rear travel matched to a 160mm-travel Fox Factory 36 Grip X2 fork and a Fox Factory Float X shock. Yeti tunes the kinematics specifically for the MT rather than adapting a linkage from another bike in the range, and the suspension carries a decade of development that traces back through the brand's 160e and DH Special Projects platforms. A flip-chip lets you adjust the leverage rate between a racy and consistent feel, a balanced setting, or a plush-then-poppy curve with more bottom-out support, without altering geometry, anti-squat, or anti-rise.
The X0/90 build kit mixes SRAM's X0 crankset with SRAM's 90-level shifter and rear derailleur, running a 12-speed 10-52 cassette and 30-tooth chainring through a DUB BSA73 bottom bracket. SRAM Maven Silver brakes handle stopping power with 200mm rotors up front and 160mm in back, plenty for a bike meant to be ridden hard downhill. Where this build stands out is the wheels: instead of the aluminum hoops typically spec'd at this price point, it runs the same DT Swiss XMC1700 EVO carbon wheels found on Yeti's top-tier MT build, wrapped in Schwalbe Albert Trail Pro and Romy Trail Pro tires at 29x2.5. A Crank Brothers Highline dropper post, Burgtec Enduro MK4 stem, and Yeti's 35mm-rise carbon handlebar round out a cockpit built for control rather than compromise.
The frame itself is unchanged from Yeti's flagship MT builds — TURQ Series Carbon is the only layup Yeti offers on this platform, chosen for its high-modulus, lightweight construction. The details that make the MT easy to live with carry over too: "The Cavity" internal frame storage, accessed through a CNC-machined door with a roller-cam lever and sealed rubber gasket, a strapless top-tube accessory mount, a stealth AirTag/Tile mount tucked below the storage door, and cables routed through end-to-end carbon tubes with a chain-slap silencer for a quiet ride.
Geometry follows the same formula across every MT build: longer, size-specific chainstays for climbing traction and front-to-rear balance, increased stack, and longer reach for stability at speed, with reach further adjustable through aftermarket headset cups on the ZS44/56 headtube standard.
