The Yeti MT X0/90 Bike is Yeti's successor to the SB140, built around Sixfinity, the brand's new six-bar suspension platform, and specced here with a mechanical drivetrain that trades wireless convenience for a lower price point without touching the frame's core capability. It's a 29-inch trail bike for riders who want serious descending confidence without giving up efficient pedaling on the way up.
Sixfinity is the reason this MT rides differently from the SB140 it replaces. Instead of the sliding shuttle used in Yeti's older Switch Infinity design, six links now drive the shock and control wheel path independently, letting engineers tune anti-squat, anti-rise, and leverage rate separately rather than as one linked system. The result on the MT is a suspension that supports pedaling around sag to resist bob on climbs, then lets that support drop away deeper in the travel so the bike stays supple once the trail turns rough. A flip-chip at the shock mount offers three leverage-rate settings, letting riders dial in a racier, more consistent feel or a plusher, poppier one without changing the bike's geometry, anti-squat, or anti-rise.
Frame and Ride-Ready Details
Every MT, regardless of build, uses Yeti's top-tier TURQ series carbon — a high-modulus layup built for impact resistance and torsional stiffness with a flex profile tuned to damp trail chatter before it reaches the rider. Floating collet bearings at the pivots are designed to hold up over repeated hard rides between services. The frame includes in-tube storage behind a CNC-machined door with a roller-cam latch, a strapless top-tube accessory mount, and an integrated mount for an AirTag or Tile tracker. Cable routing runs through end-to-end carbon tubes pinch-bolted at both ends, paired with a redesigned chain-slap silencer to keep the ride quiet, and dropper post length scales by frame size — 150mm on the small, 180mm on the medium, and 210mm on the large and extra-large.
Drivetrain, Brakes, and Wheels
This build pairs a SRAM X0 crankset with a 30-tooth chainring to SRAM's Eagle 90 mechanical Transmission — a direct-mount derailleur that bolts straight to the frame's UDH interface rather than a replaceable hanger, run through a cable shifter instead of AXS wireless. It's SRAM's most affordable Transmission tier, but it carries over the same direct-mount durability and shift precision as the brand's pricier wireless groupsets, with a 12-speed, 10-52-tooth cassette for the same climbing range. SRAM Maven Silver brakes with 200mm front and 160mm rear HS2 rotors provide the stopping power to match the MT's descending intent, and DT Swiss M1900 alloy wheels wrap in a set of Schwalbe Albert Trail Pro and Romy Trail Pro tires at 2.5 inches front and rear — a grippier, more aggressive tread pairing than a cross-country tire, suited to the technical terrain this bike is built to handle.
Up front, a Fox Factory 36 Grip X2 fork delivers 160mm of travel, while a Fox Factory Float X shock manages 140mm out back through the Sixfinity linkage. That 20mm gap between front and rear travel biases the fork toward absorbing bigger hits while keeping the rear end active and efficient under power, giving the MT a trail-bike character rather than an all-out enduro one.
