Giordana Women's SilverLine Thermal Vests

The Giordana Women's SilverLine Thermal Vest is a women's cycling vest built for cold training rides, when a jacket is more than you need but a jersey alone isn't enough. Giordana describes it as warm enough for daily use through winter, with a breathable membrane that blocks wind and cold and holds body heat without feeling bulky.

The fabric does most of the work. The vest uses a three-layer membrane construction with increased thermal properties, and the side panels, back and pockets are cut from 260-gram AcquaZero Blizzard fabric. The composition is 86% nylon and 14% elastane, so there's enough stretch to move with you in the saddle and on the bars. Breathable side panels are there to manage moisture, which matters on a vest, where the trapped heat from hard efforts has to go somewhere.

An ergonomic fleece-lined collar keeps the neck covered, and reflective accents at the sides of the waist, the shoulder and the center rear pocket add visibility on early-morning and late-afternoon rides. The vest is made in Italy.

Think of the SilverLine as a core piece of a layering system. Over a long-sleeve jersey or a base layer it adds wind protection to your torso without covering your arms, so you can regulate temperature by swapping arm warmers or sleeves rather than the whole outer layer. It's a good fit for cold-morning rides that warm up by mid-ride, winter commutes, and training sessions where you want to keep your core warm without overheating on the climbs.

The vest comes in four colorways: Armadillo/Bronze Yellow, Black, Sand and Stone/Grey, in sizes XS through 3XL. Care is simple: machine wash at 40°C or less on a reduced cycle, or hand wash at 30°C, with no bleach, low iron if needed, and hang or lay flat to dry.
