The Van Rysel RCR Pro is built for riders who demand the optimal balance of aerodynamics, stiffness, and low weight. Designed for race performance, the RCR Pro is the result of a comprehensive development process aimed at maximizing performance without sacrificing ride quality. The frame weighs between 740 and 790 grams depending on size. Both the frame and the 380 gram fork are constructed from Super High Modulus carbon to deliver exceptional power transfer and precision handling on race day. This version is equipped with a Shimano Ultegra Di2 groupset for performance 12-speed electronic shifting with a power meter.
To create the most aerodynamic bike in its class, Van Rysel collaborated with ONERA, a leading aerospace research center, using Computational Fluid Dynamics to refine every surface for maximum efficiency. The result is a bike that holds speed with less effort, delivering gains in real-world conditions. Aerodynamics extend beyond the frame design to include the full system, ensuring a complete performance solution. Every contour of the frame is designed to support acceleration, sprinting, and high-speed stability, giving competitive riders a machine that reacts instantly to input.
Weight was minimized through a topological optimization process that stripped excess material where possible. This targeted approach kept the RCR Pro incredibly light while preserving structural integrity and ride feel. Ancillary components were also scrutinized to reduce mass without compromise. Stiffness and weight savings is enhanced through the use of premium Japanese carbon fiber, carefully laid up in strategic zones to maximize energy return with each pedal stroke.
