The SRAM Centerline X Rotor is a two-piece disc rotor built around a straightforward trade-off: put steel where you need it for braking performance, and aluminum everywhere else to cut rotating weight. The steel brake track delivers consistent, heat-resistant stopping power, while the aluminum alloy carrier keeps the overall mass low — 86g for the 140mm variant.
The cutouts in the brake track do two jobs at once. They clear debris from the contact surface so grit and wet grime don't degrade bite, and they allow heat to dissipate faster under hard braking — a meaningful detail on long descents. The rotor edges are also rounded, which smooths out wheel changes and addresses UCI safety guidelines without any effect on braking performance. Available in 6-bolt and CenterLock mounting configurations, it slots cleanly into road, gravel, and cyclocross builds running SRAM disc brake systems.
