Titanium rails underpin the same shell-and-padding construction found in Selle Italia's Tekno Superflow, delivering the characteristic flex and compliance that titanium is known for without significant weight penalty.
The defining feature here is the Superflow split tail. By dividing the rear of the shell, Selle Italia allows each side to move with a degree of independence — reducing pressure point buildup over longer efforts. That split is paired with the most generous central cutout in the Selle Italia range, making the SP-01 a strong option for riders who've struggled with perineal pressure on more conventional shapes. A nylon composite shell, thin padding, and a Fibra-Tek synthetic leather cover complete the build — functional and durable without unnecessary bulk.
The saddle is offered in two widths. The Large (L3 in Selle Italia's idmatch sizing system) measures 142mm wide by 288mm long and weighs 185g. The Small (S3) comes in at 133mm wide by 288mm long at 180g. If you use Selle Italia's idmatch tool, matching to the correct size is straightforward.
