ENVE optimized the rim shape around a 28mm tire, widening the profile to improve aerodynamics at that tire size rather than sticking with the narrower 23-25mm shapes older deep-section wheels were built around. That aero tuning is paired with a focus on handling at speed — a 100mm-deep front wheel has more surface for crosswinds to act on than a shallower rim, and ENVE's stated goal with this shape was to keep the stability and confidence a rider needs at time trial speeds despite the depth. The wheel is built around a carbon rim with a 22mm internal width, tubeless only, and comes in at 815 grams including rim tape and valve — light for a wheel this deep, since a 100mm carbon rim has a lot of surface area to keep light without sacrificing stiffness. The hub is ENVE's Innerdrive Pro with ceramic bearings, the same hub platform ENVE runs across its premium wheel lineup, built to spin with minimal drag while standing up to the wet conditions a time trial or triathlon course can throw at a rider mid-race.

Tire compatibility is deliberately narrow here: 25mm minimum, aero-optimized for 28mm, and a 100 psi maximum tire pressure, all tubeless-specific. This isn't a wheel meant to run whatever tire happens to be in a rider's parts bin — running it at the 28mm size ENVE tuned it around is where the aero and rolling efficiency numbers actually apply. It mounts via a Centerlock disc rotor and a 12x100mm front thru axle, so it's disc-brake specific and won't work with a rim-brake TT or tri frame.
