SeaSucker Flight Deck Fork Mount Info
When you're using a SeaSucker Talon, Mini-Bomber, or Bomber bike rack and want to keep your front wheel(s) out of your car, you need the SeaSucker Flight Deck Fork Mount rack.
The Flight Deck is an accessory to those racks. You need to base this off of the rear wheel SeaSucker mount, as this attaches to that. You start with the rear wheel mount, add the thirteen-inch wide high-density polyethylene platform that includes the fork mount, and the six-inch SeaSucker suction cup, and you're set to go.
In case you haven't been digging into the details, yet, a reminder. The SeaSucker suction cup is a marine accessory based off of suction cup designs used to haul giant sheets of glass. These attach to any surface. It's best to wet that surface before setting up the suction cups. Once wet, start pumping. You pump till you can't. The pump arm starts to extend as it loses suction, and there's a line marked on the arm that indicates when it's time to pump again. When a single SeaSucker is a full strength, it can withstand 210lbs of force.
The fork legs are made of 1/4" thick aluminum, and have long slots so you can drop any 9mm quick release axle front wheel into the fork, slide it down until the tire contacts the HDPE base, and then tighten the quick release. Up to a 29" wheel should fit easily.
The SeaSucker Flight Deck Fork Mount keeps your front wheels on the roof and away from the rest of your cargo.
