Scott Solace Gravel 20 Bike Info
The Scott Solace Gravel 20 Bike is a carbon gravel e-bike that pairs a TQ HPR60 mid-drive motor with SRAM Rival XPLR AXS wireless shifting and 50mm Schwalbe tires. It is built for riders who want to cover more gravel in a day, whether that means longer routes, steeper climbs, or keeping pace with a stronger group.
A carbon frame built around the motor
The Solace eRIDE Disc frame is made from Scott's HMX carbon and uses Ride geometry. It is built around the TQ HPR60 drive unit, with the battery housed internally rather than strapped to the outside, so the bike keeps a clean profile. The Syncros cable integration system routes lines internally, and the frame is Range Extender Ready, which means it is prepared for an additional battery if you plan longer days. A UDH rear interface makes it easier to find a compatible replacement derailleur hanger.
Up front, the Solace eRIDE HMF flat-mount disc fork has a carbon steerer with an eccentric 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 inch taper. Geometry is on the upright, stable side: head tube angles run from 69.5 degrees on the XS to 71 degrees on the M through XL, and chainstays are 435mm across the size range. Those numbers point toward a bike set up for steady handling on loose surfaces rather than twitchy road-style steering.
TQ HPR60 power
The TQ HPR60 mid motor produces up to 60Nm of torque and is powered by a 360Wh internal battery. In the US the assist is limited to 28 mph. A bike like this works best on long climbs and rough terrain where a little extra power makes the difference between turning around and finishing the route. The system pairs with a TQ display and smartphone app over Bluetooth and ANT+, so you can check ride data and adjust settings from the saddle or a head unit. The Praxis TQ alloy crankset is matched to the drive unit.
SRAM Rival XPLR AXS drivetrain
Shifting comes from SRAM Rival XPLR AXS E1, with a 13-speed 10-46 cassette and a 42-tooth X-Sync chainring. That is a wide range for a bike that already has motor support, and it gives you low gears for steep, technical sections when you want to stay seated and keep pedaling. Rival AXS E1 hydraulic disc brakes with HS2 160mm rotors handle stopping. Because the shifting is wireless, there are fewer cables to route around the cockpit and frame.
Wheels, tires and cockpit
The Syncros Capital GR 35 CF II carbon wheels carry Schwalbe G-One Overland Pro EVO tires in 700x50. A 50mm tire gives gravel riders a lot of volume to work with, which helps with traction and comfort on rough surfaces. The cockpit is Syncros throughout: a Creston 1.0 X carbon handlebar, an RR2.0 stem, RC bar tape, and a Tofino R 2.0 cut-out saddle on a D-shape Duncan 1.0 iL seatpost.
The Solace Gravel 20 is available in sizes XS through XL in a Squid Blue and Beluga Grey finish. Pedals are not included. The maximum rider weight is 264 pounds, which Scott defines as the total of bike, rider, equipment and any luggage.
