The Scott Foil RC Tri Bike takes the Foil RC aero road frame and sets it up for triathlon. It has a Zipp Vuka clip-on cockpit with carbon extensions, SRAM Force AXS wireless shifting with bar-end blips, a power meter crankset, and deep Zipp 404 S wheels. It is a complete bike, ready to ride, for athletes who want a fast triathlon bike that does not feel like a compromise on the road.
The starting point is the Foil RC HMX carbon frame and fork, the same platform Scott builds for road racing. Scott's aero history goes back to the clip-on bars Greg LeMond used to win the 1989 Tour de France, so a Foil in tri trim is a natural fit. The fork runs a 1" eccentric carbon steerer, and the Syncros Foil 1.5 Aero stem ties the front end together with the Zipp Vuka aerobar setup.
A cockpit built around the aero position
The Zipp Vuka Clip-On with carbon EVO extensions sits on a Zipp Vuka Bull Horn base bar. That gives you two working positions: the extensions for long, steady efforts, and the bull horns for climbing, cornering and getting out of the saddle. Most triathlon time is spent on the extensions, so a base bar that suits standing, sprinting and technical sections helps on hilly or crowded courses. Wireless SRAM eTap AXS blips sit at the bar ends, so you can change gear from the extensions without moving your hands back to the brake levers.
The geometry is the same race-oriented layout Scott uses across the Foil RC range. Chainstays are 412mm across all seven sizes, XXS to XXL, and the bottom bracket drop is 70mm. In a size M the head tube angle is 72.5 degrees, with 548mm of stack and 389mm of reach. The seat tube angle in that size is 73.6 degrees. Seat tube angles this steep are fairly standard for road bikes, and riders who need a more forward triathlon position will want to have their fit checked before they order. The range of head tube lengths, from 103mm to 199mm, gives you room to work toward a comfortable drop.
SRAM Force AXS with a power meter
The drivetrain is SRAM Force AXS E1, a 12-speed wireless electronic groupset. The rear derailleur and front derailleur are wireless, so there are no shift cables to run through the frame, and the crankset includes an integrated power meter. That matters in triathlon, where pacing by watts is a standard way to hold an even effort across a bike leg and leave enough for the run. Chainrings are 48/35 and the cassette is a 10-33, a compact setup that suits varied terrain better than a big racing ring would. Hydraulic Force AXS E1 disc calipers and SRAM Paceline 160mm front and 140mm rear rotors handle stopping.
Zipp 404 S wheels come fitted with Schwalbe Pro One Aero tubeless-ready tires in 700x28. A deep rim like the 404 is a familiar choice for triathlon, where the wind is a constant and the rider is not usually drafting. The 28mm tire width is a modern approach that allows lower pressures for grip and comfort on rougher pavement. The Syncros Duncan SL Aero TRI seatpost and Syncros Belcarra V 2.0 cut-out saddle finish the build. Pedals are not included, so you can fit your own. Scott lists a maximum rider weight of 264 lbs, including the rider, bike and equipment.

It is a good match for athletes who race hilly or technical courses and want a base bar that helps them get on and off the extensions.
