The Scott Foil RC Pro Bike is Scott's aero road bike for riders who race in the wind and want the frame, cockpit and wheels working as one system. It is built around the Foil RC HMX carbon frame and fork, finished with Shimano's top-tier Dura-Ace Di2 electronic groupset, and sold as a complete bike that is ready to ride the day you pick it up.
Aero has been part of Scott's story for a long time. The clip-on aero bars Greg LeMond used to win the 1989 Tour de France carried the Scott name, and the Foil line is where that wind-tunnel thinking lives today. Scott positions the Foil RC as the bike for sprinters, attackers and breakaway riders, the people who spend the most time at high speed with the least room to hide. That intent shows up in how the bike is put together. The frame and fork are HMX carbon, the fork runs a 1" eccentric carbon steerer, and the Syncros Creston iC SL Aero handlebar and stem form an integrated cockpit that keeps the front end tidy and the cabling out of the airstream.
Built for speed on flat and rolling roads
The geometry is a race fit rather than an endurance one. Across the size run, from XXS to XXL, the chainstays stay at 412mm and the bottom bracket drop is 70mm, a short, low layout that favors quick handling and a stable feel at speed. In a size M, the head tube angle is 72.5 degrees with a 141mm head tube, 548mm of stack and 389mm of reach. That is a position you can hold low for a long time if you are flexible, and the range of head tube lengths across seven sizes gives shorter and taller riders a real chance to find a proper fit rather than a compromise. Scott lists a maximum rider weight of 264 lbs, which covers the rider, the bike and any gear.
Wheels and tires matter as much as the frame on an aero bike, and Scott's own Syncros Capital 1.0S wheels arrive fitted with 50mm-deep rims. That depth is a sensible middle ground for a bike that has to handle real roads and real crosswinds, rather than a pure flat-course setup. Schwalbe Pro One Aero tires in 700x28 are mounted tubeless-ready, and the wider casing is a modern choice that lets you run lower pressure for grip and comfort without giving up much rolling efficiency.
Dura-Ace Di2 with hydraulic discs
The drivetrain is Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 R9200, and it is the version riders tend to point to when they talk about the best road shifting available. Electronic shifting moves the chain the moment you press the lever, including when you are out of the saddle and pushing hard, and it does not drift out of adjustment the way a cable system can over a season. The crankset carries 52/36 chainrings with an 11-34 12-speed cassette, so the bike has a big gear for fast descents and sprints and a comfortable low gear for the long climbs that show up on almost every real ride.
Braking comes from Dura-Ace R9270 hydraulic disc calipers with 160mm front and 140mm rear CL900 rotors. Hydraulic discs give you consistent power and fine control in wet conditions and on long descents, which matters when the bike is fast enough to reach the bottom of a mountain in a hurry. The Syncros Duncan SL Aero seatpost, Syncros Belcarra V 1.0 saddle and Syncros RC bar tape round out a cockpit and contact points that are all matched to the frame. Pedals are not included, so you can fit the ones you already trust.
Who it suits
The Foil RC Pro is a race bike first. It suits riders who line up at criteriums, road races and fast group rides, and want an aero platform that does not ask them to assemble or upgrade anything to get there. It is also a good match for a rider who is moving up from a lighter, less aero climbing bike and wants the speed of a Dura-Ace Di2 build without waiting on a custom order.
