Rotor QXL Inner Chainring Info

The Rotor QXL Inner Chainring takes the non-round chainring concept further than the standard Q-Ring by increasing ovality to 16% — up from 10% — so the gear ratio variation between your dead spot and power stroke is more pronounced. The result is a ring designed to give your legs more relief at the weakest point of the pedal stroke and more mechanical advantage where your output peaks. CNC-machined from 7075 aluminium, these are precision components built to hold up under sustained power.

Rotor designed the QXL specifically for riders who are already familiar with oval rings — the increased ovality rewards those who have adapted to the Q-Ring pedalling style and want to push the adaptation further. Like all Q-Rings, the QXL features five adjustable mounting positions (OCP1–OCP5) so you can shift the point of peak leverage relative to your individual pedal stroke. A fitting guide is included to help you dial in the right position rather than guessing.
