Rotor Q-Ring Outer Chainring for 110x4bcd Info

Rotor offers Q Ring chainrings for their Aldhu system in two versions. This is the version that bolts to the Aldhu 110x4bcd spider. This version also works with Shimano and Shimano-compatible 110x4 cranks.

Q Ring is Rotor’s name for their oval chainrings. They are designed to generate more power than round rings, based on the idea that you don’t turn the chainrings with the same amount of power for the entire 360-degress pedal stroke. These rings are ovalized to give you more power (high points of the oval) at the most powerful points in your stroke and help you speed through the weakest parts (low points of the oval) of your stroke.

The ovality of these rings is 12.5%. This is moderate ovality, Rotor makes oval rings that are both more and less oval. They arrived on the shape because it’s more than enough to give you an advantage and very easy to get used to.

When you combine these rings with the Aldhu spider, you can dial the rings into OCP (Optimal Chainring Position) #1-5. If you combine these rings with a Shimano or Shimano-compatible spider, you’re locked into OCP #3.

You’ll need to purchase chainring bolts separately.

Aldhu Q Ring Chainring sizes currently available are: 53, 52, 50, 39, 36, 34.
