Rotor Q-Ring Outer Chainring Info

The Rotor Q-Ring Outer Chainring is built on a simple mechanical principle: a round chainring delivers constant leverage throughout the pedal stroke, but your legs don't produce constant power. Rotor's solution is a 10% oval profile that effectively reduces resistance through the dead spots at the top and bottom of the stroke, then increases leverage during the powerful downstroke — letting you work with your natural pedaling mechanics rather than against them.

Each ring is CNC-machined from 7075 aluminium plate with steel shift pins embedded to maintain clean, reliable front shifts under load. The three-position OCP (Optimum Chainring Position) mounting system lets you dial in exactly where peak leverage falls relative to your individual stroke — a setup guide is included to walk you through the adjustment. Available in 110 and 130 BCD with tooth counts from 44t to 53t, the Q-Ring covers most road chainring setups.
