The PRO Tharsis Trail Stem is built shorter and stouter than its XC counterpart — designed for trail riding where a compact, low-rise stem keeps your front end responsive and planted. Forged from 7075 aluminum with titanium bolts, it delivers a weight of 95g in the 35mm length without sacrificing the rigidity you need when the trail gets rough.
One of the more practical details is the integrated external headset adjuster. Rather than relying on a star-fangled nut or expander plug inside the steerer, you tighten the steerer clamp bolts, dial out the play with the adjuster beneath the stem, and press on the included top cap — a clean, tool-light setup. For riders running electronic shifting with an internal battery, PRO has designed the stem and top cap to accommodate Di2 battery installation inside the steerer tube when steerer depth exceeds 152mm, routing the wire neatly through and over the stem. A combined BTR expander nut and battery hanger is included for this purpose.
