It is ready to rip any trail from the climb to the sprint to the technical descent. The Trail 429 will feel like a cross country bike in terms of acceleration and climbing but will bounce around technical terrain with the confidence of an endurance bike. This trail version of the Trail 429 focuses on lightweight speed that does not hesitate when things get rowdy. This versatile trail bike is very lightweight, hits high speeds, and has amazing handling for fun riding every day.
Every piece of the Pivot Trail 429 is made to be effective on a diverse range of trails and terrain. The rear suspension offers 120mm of travel for enough shock to deal with tough terrain, but enough stiffness to hit high speeds on smoother trails. The dw-link suspension design is specially made to accommodate downhill rides with proper control. The Fox Factory DPS Shock gives riders 120mm of rear travel for the perfect balance of speed and compliance. On the front, you will find a Fox Factory 34 fork for an extra 130mm of travel. With the Pivot Trail 429, riders get the best of both worlds with no compromise between cross country speed and downhill stability.
The Pivot Trail 429 is one of the most balanced trail bikes on the market. The frame is made of carbon composite fibers and a mix of resins with a strong lay orientation. This leads to a very lightweight frame that is also extremely durable and stable with enough stiffness to break into a sprint. The geometry of the frame comes with a touch of downhill inspiration as well. A double-wishbone rear triangle, Super Boost Plus axle spacing, and wide suspension linkage create a frame that can deal with gravity oriented rides without sacrificing any speed. This version also features a SRAM XX Eagle Transmission for some of the most efficient, durable and innovative trail shifting on the market. The Pivot Trail 429 is simply one of the most diverse and useful bikes to touch the trail.
