It is incredibly efficient and handles well on downhill rides with the help of 155mm of rear travel. This works in conjunction with optimization of 27.5 inch wheels. These smaller wheels are perfect for navigating difficult and irregular terrain with race level speed, making it a worthy bike for gunning for the podium. This premier version is equipped with a SRAM X0 Eagle transmission with revolutionary 12-speed shifting that is incredibly durable for the trail. With a low center of gravity, responsive shock, and lightweight frame, it is ready for any challenge. The Pivot Mach 6 aims to redefine endurance performance with speed and brilliant handling.
The frame of the Pivot Mach 6 is made with a lightweight carbon fiber, keeping it as lightweight as you need in a race level bike. Pivot’s hollow core and internal molding technologies are both used in the construction of the frame, keeping it just as strong and durable as it is light. The frame is also made with Boost spacing to maximize stiffness and control. Geometrically, the Mach 6 is very progressive with a slacker head angle and long cockpit. This simultaneously contributes to remaining stable on descents and helping to scale difficult climbs. Despite its long and low nature, the Mach 6 is for riders of all sizes. Different top tube lengths are used in different sizes to create a custom geometry that works for large and small riders.
Endurance bikes demand a proper shock to perform at a high level on the toughest trails. The Pivot Mach 6 comes with the 155mm travel Fox Factory Float DPX2 shock which is tuned specifically for trail and endurance riding. With open, medium, and firm on the fly options along with a variety of ways to tune it, this shock can accommodate any rider's needs for a particular day. A lower amount of force is needed to initiate travel, so small bump compliance and travel at low speeds is better than ever. This version is also equipped with a Fox Factory 38 suspension fork which adds another 160mm of travel to the front, making it an extremely compliant machine.
