Pinarello Dogma X Red AXS Bike Info
Pinarello Dogma X Red AXS Bike pairs Pinarello's latest Dogma platform with SRAM's fully wireless Red AXS E1 groupset. At $15,750, it sits alongside the Dogma X Dura-Ace Di2 build as one of two flagship electronic-shifting options on this frame, and the SRAM build gives riders who prefer AXS shifting and wider-range gearing a way into the same chassis.
The frame itself is built from Pinarello's new M40X carbon, a layup the brand first developed for its X-Light and INEOS Grenadiers team bikes before bringing it to this generation of the Dogma X. The rear end uses Pinarello's X-Stays 2.0 design, a double-arm, four-point top-stay layout with a lower attachment point that spreads road vibration across more contact points and reduces rebound, aimed at taking the edge off rough pavement without dulling the ride. A narrower, tapered aero downtube adds lateral stiffness for climbing and sprinting, and an elliptical steering tube with internal cable routing and a deeper head tube is designed to improve aerodynamics and torsional stiffness, which shows up as more stable, precise handling at speed, particularly on descents.
Tire clearance is one of the more notable updates on this generation of the Dogma X: the frame accepts up to 700x35mm tires, and this build ships with 32mm Continental GP 5000S TR tubeless tires already mounted. That's well beyond what most race-oriented road bikes allow, and it lets the Dogma X run wider, higher-volume rubber for extra comfort and grip on rough or mixed road surfaces without giving up the frame's aero shaping. Pinarello positions the Dogma X for riders who take on long distances, and the combination of a comfort-tuned rear end, generous tire clearance, and a stiff front end is built around holding up over a long, hard day rather than just a short race effort.
The SRAM Red AXS E1 groupset on this build is fully wireless, with electronic shifting across a 12-speed drivetrain and Red AXS hydraulic disc brakes on SRAM Paceline X rotors. The crankset carries 48/35 chainrings paired with a wide-range 10-33 cassette, a gearing setup that trades a little top-end speed for easier climbing gears compared to a tighter race cassette, and it comes with SRAM's integrated power meter built in. Princeton Grit 4540 EVO wheels handle the aero side of the build, and the cockpit is Pinarello and MOST's Talon Ultra Fast integrated bar-stem, designed to be lighter and more aerodynamic than the previous generation, with a twisted lever position meant to make holding a lower position more secure. A Most Lynx Ultrafast saddle and Pinarello's titanium-clamped aero seatpost round out the contact points.
This Dogma X Red AXS build is available in four finishes — Jade Eclipse, Etna Lucente, Aqua Veil, and Moonlight Frost — across eleven frame sizes from 43cm to 62cm. For a rider who wants SRAM's wireless shifting and a wider gear range on a frame built to handle long rides and rough roads without losing race-bike stiffness, this is that build.
