Pinarello Dogma X Dura-Ace Di2 Bike Info
Pinarello Dogma X Dura-Ace Di2 Bike is the newest version of Pinarello's Dogma platform, built in Treviso, Italy, where Pinarello has been building race bikes since 1952. At $15,750, this build pairs a full Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 groupset with a redesigned M40X carbon frame, and the result is a road bike engineered to hold its composure on long, demanding rides rather than just short, hard efforts.
The frame's M40X carbon fiber is a new layup that Pinarello first tested on its X-Light and INEOS Grenadiers team bikes, with a higher tensile strength and stiffer elastic modulus than the material it replaces. That carbon is shaped into a handful of specific updates for this generation of the Dogma X. The rear end uses what Pinarello calls X-Stays 2.0, a double-arm, four-point top-stay design with a lower attachment point that spreads road vibration across more contact points and reduces rebound, aimed at smoothing out rough pavement without deadening the ride. Up front, a narrower, tapered aero downtube adds lateral stiffness for climbing and sprinting, while a reshaped elliptical steering tube with internal cable routing and a deeper head tube is designed to improve aerodynamics, torsional stiffness, and handling precision at speed, particularly on descents.
One of the more practical changes on this Dogma X is tire clearance. The frame accepts up to 700x35mm tires, well beyond what most race-oriented road bikes allow, and this build ships with 32mm Continental GP 5000S TR tubeless tires. Pinarello positions the Dogma X as a bike for riders who take on long distances, and the added room for wider, higher-volume rubber supports that: more comfort and grip on rough or mixed road surfaces without giving up the frame's aero shaping or stiffness. It's a road bike built to stay composed five hours into a long day in the saddle, not just through a short, hard effort.
The build itself is a full Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 setup. Dura-Ace Di2 R9250/R9270 shifters and derailleurs handle electronic 12-speed shifting, backed by Dura-Ace hydraulic disc brakes and a Dura-Ace crankset with an integrated power meter, so wattage data is built in rather than bolted on later. Princeton Grit 4540 EVO wheels round out the aero-minded build, and the cockpit is Pinarello and MOST's Talon Ultra Fast integrated bar-stem, designed to be lighter and more aerodynamic than the previous version, with a twisted lever position meant to make holding an aggressive riding position more secure. A Most Lynx Ultrafast saddle and a titanium-clamped aero seatpost complete the contact points.
This Dogma X Dura-Ace Di2 build comes in four finishes — Moonlight Frost, Jade Eclipse, Etna Lucente, and Aqua Veil — across eleven frame sizes from 43cm to 62cm, giving most riders a real fit option rather than a compromise between two sizes. For a rider who wants one road bike that can handle a hard group ride, a long solo effort, or an event over mixed pavement without sacrificing race-bike stiffness and handling, the Dogma X is built around exactly that range.
