The OPEN U.P.PER. 2.0 Chassis takes the original fast gravel concept and improves it with even more tire clearance, lighter weight, and sharper handling. With room for tires up to 46mm true width, it’s a frameset that can transform from a road bike on 700x28c slicks to a confident drop-bar mountain bike with 650b tires, all while maintaining the same responsive geometry. The dropped chainstay remains a hallmark feature, increasing tire clearance without requiring a wide Q-factor, so you keep an efficient road pedaling position across any surface.
The U.P.PER. 2.0 uses a carefully balanced carbon layup, blending high-modulus fibers for stiffness and low-modulus fibers for impact toughness. Every piece of carbon is targeted to perform a specific function. Vertically thin but laterally wide wire-stays add comfort without sacrificing drive, while the flat-sided downtube focuses stiffness where it matters most. Every detail reflects OPEN’s philosophy of purposeful design, from the integrated strapless bag mount to the internal routing that keeps cables protected but easily accessible in the cockpit.
The ultralight U-Turn fork pairs seamlessly with the frame, using the Smartmount direct brake mount that saves weight and increases rigidity by removing unnecessary adapters. Size-specific geometry ensures consistent handling and fit across the range. So everyone gets their ideal fit. An included one-piece OPEN B.A.R. cockpit allows for 15mm of stem adjustment in precise 5mm steps.
