Wilier Urta Ultimate XTR Bike w/Fox Factory 34 Info
The Wilier Urta Ultimate XTR Bike w/Fox Factory 34 is a full-suspension carbon cross-country mountain bike from the Italian road brand. It pairs 120mm of travel at both ends with a Shimano XTR Di2 drivetrain and a Fox Factory suspension package. Wilier has been building bikes in Bassano del Grappa since 1906, and the Urta carries that race-first mindset onto dirt.
The frame is Toray M40X carbon, a high-modulus fiber chosen for stiffness without a weight penalty. That stiffness matters most when you stand and sprint out of a switchback or load the bike through a rock garden. The 120mm rear end is controlled by a Fox Float SL Factory shock, a lightweight unit built for race-oriented trail riding. Up front, the Fox Float 34 SC Factory fork also offers 120mm, so the bike stays balanced when the terrain gets rough.
Geometry Built for Fast, Technical Riding
The Urta's geometry leans modern. The head angle is 66.5 degrees in the Technical setting and 65.5 degrees in the Fast setting, so you can adjust the front end to suit the course. Both angles are slacker than the steep head angles of older XC race bikes, which gives you more confidence on steep descents. The seat tube angle is 76.8 degrees, which keeps you centered over the cranks on long climbs. Chainstays measure 433mm on every size, and reach runs from 424mm on the small to 505mm on the extra-large. Four sizes, S through XL, cover a wide range of riders.
The cockpit is a Wilier Urta Max one-piece carbon bar and stem with a -27 degree stem angle, which sets a low, forward position for racing. A Fox Transfer SL dropper seatpost lets you lower the saddle on descents and raise it again for the next climb. The Acros AMX-005 headset keeps the front end tracking smoothly.
XTR Di2 and Miche K1 RD Wheels
The drivetrain is Shimano's top mountain group. XTR Di2 M9250 electronic shifting moves the chain across a 12-speed M9200 cassette with a 10-51 range, paired with a 32-tooth chainring on the XTR M9200 crankset. That range suits both steep punchy climbs and fast flat sections. XTR M9200 hydraulic disc brakes with 180mm MT905 rotors give you strong, consistent stopping power from the top of a descent to the bottom.
The wheels are Miche K1 RD, fitted with Vittoria Saguaro 29x2.25 tires. A Selle San Marco Shortfit 2.0 Open-Fit Narrow saddle completes the build. Pedals are not included, so you can fit the clipless system you prefer.
This is a bike for riders who race XC or ride like they do, with a spec that matches the price. It is a lightweight, well-equipped carbon 29er built for fast laps, long climbs and technical descents.
