Q36.5 Dottore Pro Signature Bib Shorts Info
The Q36.5 Dottore Pro Signature Bib Shorts are the Italian brand's top cycling bib shorts, built around the Q LAB Air chamois and four proprietary woven fabrics. Q36.5 takes its name from the idea of keeping the body at an ideal 36.5 degrees Celsius, and the shorts carry a +18°C rating, meaning they are designed for riding in temperatures of 18°C and above. These are warm-weather bibs for long days, and the construction shows it.
The chamois uses stitching that lets its two layers move independently, so the pad adapts as your position changes on the bike. Q36.5 says the open construction reduces friction from stitching and material overlap, which is where hot spots tend to start on long rides. The fabric is a woven blend of 63% polyamide, 35% elastane, 1% polyester and 1% silver. The silver is woven into the weft, and Q36.5 says it gives the fabric fast drying and antibacterial properties. A high-density woven panel provides gradual compression, which Q36.5 says stimulates blood flow and reduces muscle fatigue. A separate lumbar panel supports the lower back and glutes.
The details are what separate these bibs from a standard pair. The straps are soft elastic that follows the shape of your torso without creating pressure points. The leg hems are raw-cut, with no elastic or silicone grippers, so the legs hold in place without squeezing. In size M the shorts weigh 150 grams, and they come in seven sizes from XS to XXXL in the Tarmac colorway, so fit should be possible across a wide range of riders. Use the size chart, which lists chest, waist, height and weight ranges for each size.
The Dottore Pro Signature is a good fit for riders who spend long hours in the saddle in warm conditions and want a premium bib with a pad built for comfort. It is priced as a top-tier bib, and the materials and construction are what that price buys.
