Mavic Wheels

Mavic has been building cycling wheels since 1889 — longer than most other brands have existed. In that time, the French company introduced the first aluminium rim in 1934, served the Tour de France peloton with its iconic yellow neutral service vehicles for decades, and built some of the most recognizable wheel names in the sport: Cosmic, Ksyrium, Comete, Crossmax.

The collection at RA Cycles reflects the full breadth of what Mavic makes: Cosmic and Ksyrium road wheels from entry-level to flagship carbon, Comete and Ellipse track wheels, Crossmax and Crosstrail mountain wheels, and the E-Crosstrail and E-Deemax lines for e-bikes. Whatever you ride, Mavic has a wheel designed for it.

About Mavic

Mavic was founded in 1889 in Lyon, France by Charles Idoux and Lucien Chanel — the acronym MAVIC comes from Manufacture d’Articles Vélocipédiques Idoux et Chanel. The brand produced the first aluminium bicycle rim in 1934 and became synonymous with professional road cycling through its iconic yellow neutral service vehicles, which followed Tour de France pelotons for decades. Now based in Annecy at the foot of the Alps, Mavic is the Official Supplier of the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series and equips teams including Mondraker Factory Racing XC and KTM Factory MTB. Visit Mavic’s official website.

RA Cycles carries the full Mavic range across road, track, mountain, and e-bike. Road wheels span the Cosmic line — from the Ksyrium S Disc to the flagship Cosmic Ultimate 45 Disc — alongside the Comete aero series. Track riders will find the Ellipse and the IO Track Tubular. Mountain wheels include the Crossmax SL Ultimate, Crossmax SL S, Crosstrail SL, and Crosstrail SL Carbon. The E-Crosstrail and E-Deemax lines extend the range to e-bikes.
