Lake MX201 Shoes Info
The Lake MX201 Shoes are a trail-ready MTB shoe built for riders who spend time both on the bike and off it. Built on Lake's MX Comfort Plus Last, they offer a wider toe box and a generous forefoot platform designed to accommodate a broad range of foot shapes without compromising pedaling efficiency. This is a shoe that sits squarely in the enduro and trail riding category — capable enough for technical terrain, comfortable enough for long days in the saddle and on foot.
The upper combines Clarino microfiber with NuFoam mesh, keeping weight reasonable while adding structure where it counts. Tectuff toe protection reinforces the front of the shoe against the kind of rock and root strikes that come with off-road riding. Closure is handled by a dual BOA Fit System Li2, giving you independent micro-adjustable tension across the forefoot and instep — useful when your foot swells mid-ride or conditions change. Underfoot, the Enduro Sole uses a real rubber and EVA outsole for grip and trail traction, backed by a semi-rigid fiberglass-injected nylon midsole that balances pedaling support with enough flex to make hike-a-bike sections manageable. The sole is SPD-compatible, fitting standard two-bolt cleat systems.

Design Benefits
- Walkable sole for mixed-terrain days: The semi-flexible Enduro Sole is designed to handle movement on foot as well as it handles pedaling — whether that means a hike-a-bike section, a trailhead walk, or a full day of trail running with riding built in.
- Precise, reliable fit via BOA Li2: Two independent dials let you dial in tension separately across the foot, so you're not locked into a one-size-fits-all closure. The Li2 system is built for long-term durability and works reliably in wet and muddy conditions common to trail riding.
- Durable construction without sacrificing breathability: Tectuff toe protection guards against impact and abrasion, while the NuFoam mesh upper keeps airflow moving on longer efforts — a balance that matters when you're moving between climbing, descending, and walking across variable terrain.
