The CeramicSpeed Ceramic Wheel Kits - DT Swiss 240 pulls out the stock bearings from your DT Swiss 240-hubbed wheels and replaces them with six Grade 3 Silicon Nitride ceramic bearings — two for the front hub, two for the rear hub, and two for the cassette body. Silicon Nitride balls are manufactured to be smoother, harder, and lighter than standard steel balls, and assembled in dust-free clean rooms to ensure consistent quality before the kit leaves the factory.
The practical upside goes beyond reduced rolling resistance. CeramicSpeed's ceramic bearings are designed to last three to five times longer than standard bearings, which means fewer replacements over the life of your wheels. The kit includes CeramicSpeed's proprietary grease and a syringe for application — applying grease and mounting the seals before installation is recommended to get the full benefit from the outset.
