Installation of the Eagle T-Type has never been easier with direct mounting to the rear axle. SRAM breaks down the installation into three steps called prepare, hang, and tighten. The process takes around two minutes to complete and does not require any special tools. To start, you set your cage and derailleur up the way you prefer it. Next, you hang it through the axle then put the wheel and thru-axle back in place. Finally, tighten your whole system and you are good to go. Clamping on both sides creates a super strong interface while simultaneously using fewer parts so there is less chance of damage in the event of a crash.
