The Scott Addict Gravel 40 Bike puts Scott's carbon Addict Gravel platform within reach of riders who don't need a top-tier groupset to get out and explore. This gravel bike shares its HMF Carbon frame and fork with the rest of the Addict Gravel line, complete with a replaceable UDH derailleur hanger, fully internal cable routing, and Syncros fender kit compatibility, so the fundamentals of the platform carry through even at a more accessible price point.
That means the same frame thinking applies here as it does further up the range. Scott's airfoil tube shaping extends through the down tube, head tube, seat tube, seatpost, and seat stays, aimed at managing airflow without giving up the compliance a gravel bike needs over rough ground. The frame also carries the same mount strategy: a bolt-on top-tube bag mount, an extra mount on the down tube for a second bottle cage or a toolbox, and two bottle cage positions so a frame bag doesn't force a tradeoff between cargo and hydration. It's a build that trades electronic shifting for a simpler, more affordable mechanical setup without cutting corners on stopping power or gear range.
Syncros Capital GR 25 AL II aluminum wheels replace the carbon wheelset found on higher-spec Addict Gravel builds, wrapped in the same Schwalbe G-One RX Pro Evolution tires in a 700x50 size. The frame and fork accept up to 57mm, so there's room to size up if you want more cushion on rougher trails. Aluminum wheels add a bit of weight over carbon, but they're also more forgiving of the occasional rock strike or curb hit that comes with genuine off-road use, which matters on a bike built for exploring rather than racing.
The cockpit is pure Syncros — an alloy handlebar and stem, a carbon SP-R101-CF seatpost, and a Kildala saddle — with sizing from XXS through XXL and colorways in Carbon Black, Iron Grey, and Peach Pink.
