The FRD frame starts with Felt's premium 12K Carbon Light layup — T800, T1000, and T1100 grade carbon fibers arranged with optimized ply orientation, reduced overlaps, and thinner low-resin plies throughout. High-load zones at the head tube, bottom bracket shell, and rear triangle receive targeted reinforcement with 30T to 40T modulus fibers.
