DMT SH10 Road Shoe Info

The DMT SH10 Road Shoe pairs an Engineered 3D Knit upper with a hybrid support structure, giving you a race shoe that fits close without sacrificing stiffness underfoot. The knit panels use variable thickness and knit density across the shoe, keeping the forefoot breathable and quick-drying while microfiber reinforcement through the instep and heel adds the structure a pure knit upper can't provide on its own. Integrated webbing and a microfiber heel closure work with that reinforcement to lock the foot in place, so the fit stays secure through hard efforts rather than loosening up as the knit flexes.

Closure comes from DMT's double L6 Dial Z BOA® Fit System, with two independent dials that manage tension across the upper and lower zones of the shoe separately. That zonal control lets you dial in pressure over the instep without over-tightening the forefoot, which matters on a road shoe you'll be wearing for hours at a time. Underneath, an Air Tech carbon sole and a newly injection-molded heel counter give the SH10 a stiff platform for transferring power to the pedal, with 8mm of front-to-rear cleat adjustability to fine-tune foot position over the spindle. Reflective logos add a bit of visibility for early or late rides.

The SH10 sits in DMT's road lineup as a performance shoe for riders who want BOA precision and carbon-sole stiffness without stepping up to a superlight flagship model. It's available in Black and White, sized 37 through 48 with half sizes through 45.5.

The RA Perspective

The SH10 is DMT's case for why a knit upper doesn't have to mean a mushy fit. The Engineered 3D Knit construction breathes well and dries fast, which we appreciate on warmer rides, but it's the microfiber reinforcement through the heel and instep that keeps it from feeling vague under load — that hybrid approach is really the shoe's whole pitch.

The double BOA L6 Dial Z system is the standout feature in practice. Being able to adjust tension over the top of the foot independently from the lower zone means you can chase down a hot spot on one dial without loosening the fit everywhere else. It's a small thing until you're two hours into a ride and your foot has swelled slightly — then it's the difference between stopping to readjust and just twisting a dial.

The Air Tech carbon sole is stiff, which is exactly what you want for power transfer but worth knowing if you're coming from a shoe with more give in the sole — some riders notice more road feel through the pedal on rough pavement. The 8mm of cleat adjustability is generous and useful for riders dialing in a specific fore-aft foot position.

We'd point this shoe at riders who want a genuine performance fit and race-ready stiffness but don't need DMT's superlight flagship. It's a strong middle-tier option for someone logging real weekly mileage who wants their shoes to disappear on the bike.
