CeramicSpeed OSPW X - SRAM Eagle AXS Transmission Info

The CeramicSpeed OSPW X - SRAM Eagle AXS Transmission takes CeramicSpeed's oversized pulley wheel design and rebuilds it specifically for off-road conditions rather than adapting a road system for trail use. It's built around a reinforced cage structure with added material where it counts, without piling on unnecessary bulk, so it can take the rock strikes and pedal-through hits that a mountain bike derailleur deals with that a road derailleur never sees.

The pulleys themselves use CeramicSpeed's 14-tooth and 20-tooth ALPHA disc design, a two-piece aluminum construction with a composite narrow-wide tooth profile that eliminates the open spoke gaps of a standard pulley wheel. That matters more off-road than on pavement — mud, sticks, and trail debris have nowhere to lodge between the disc and the frame. Bearing protection comes from CeramicSpeed's patented ADR technology: a dust cover anchored into the pulley wheel that fully encloses the bearing, paired with stainless steel dust shields and a bladed groove structure that actively clears debris while the wheel spins rather than letting it accumulate.

This system is built specifically for SRAM's Eagle AXS Transmission derailleurs — it's compatible with XX SL, XX, XO Eagle AXS Transmission, and SRAM Eagle 90 Transmission, but it's not compatible with GX Transmission or SRAM's RED XPLR 13-speed derailleurs, so it's worth confirming your exact groupset before ordering. At roughly 110 grams, it's not chasing gram-counting weight savings so much as durability in a system that's already well-protected by design. CeramicSpeed backs it with a lifetime warranty, and it's available in black, which typically ships right away, or silver, which usually takes a bit longer.

At $699, the OSPW X is priced in line with CeramicSpeed's road pulley systems, and it's aimed at mountain bike riders and racers running Eagle AXS Transmission who put real trail miles on their drivetrain and want the pulley bearings to survive it without a full service every few months.

The RA Perspective

We sell this to mountain bikers who are frustrated with how quickly stock pulley bearings pack up with mud and grit on a wet trail season. The sealed ADR design with the stainless dust shields is a real answer to that problem, not just a marketing angle — the solid Alpha disc genuinely keeps debris from working its way in through the spokes the way it does on a stock pulley wheel.

The reinforced cage is the other piece worth knowing about. Mountain bike derailleurs take hits that road derailleurs simply don't — rock strikes, pedal-through impacts on technical climbs — and CeramicSpeed built this cage with that abuse in mind rather than just shrinking down a road design.

The compatibility list is narrower than some riders expect. This works with XX SL, XX, XO, and Eagle 90 Transmission, but not GX Transmission, so double-check your exact derailleur model before ordering — we've had a few customers assume "Eagle AXS" covers everything, and it doesn't.

For riders logging serious trail time on a compatible Transmission derailleur, this is a straightforward durability upgrade that should mean fewer mid-season bearing replacements.
