CeramicSpeed OSPW RS 5-Spoke SRAM Red AXS D1/E1 + Force AXS D1 Info

The CeramicSpeed OSPW RS 5-Spoke SRAM Red AXS D1/E1 + Force AXS D1 pairs CeramicSpeed's reinforced RS cage with an open, 5-spoke alloy pulley wheel design rather than the solid Alpha disc found on the pricier version of this system. That open spoke design keeps weight down and gives the wheel a lighter, more traditional look, and it's built specifically for SRAM's Red AXS D1/E1 and Force AXS D1 derailleurs.

Each pulley spins on CeramicSpeed's standard handbuilt bearings rather than the ADR-sealed bearings used in the Alpha version, which is the main tradeoff here: you get the reinforced cage and CeramicSpeed's low-friction bearing quality without paying for the enclosed, debris-resistant disc design. For a rider who keeps their drivetrain clean and isn't riding through constant wet or gritty conditions, that's a sensible way to get into CeramicSpeed's oversized pulley system without the added cost of the more heavily protected version.

The cage itself carries the same angular, reinforced redesign CeramicSpeed introduced across its RS lineup, built for more strength and durability than the original OSPW cage that debuted back in 2015. It's available in black, blue, gold, or red, so it's as much a way to add some color to a bike's drivetrain as it is a performance upgrade.

At $629, it's the most accessible entry point into CeramicSpeed's current SRAM Red/Force AXS pulley lineup, sitting below both the Alpha disc and aero versions. It's a fitting choice for riders who want the smoother-spinning feel of upgraded pulley bearings and a stronger cage, without needing the sealed bearing protection built for harsher conditions.

The RA Perspective

This is the version we'd point a rider toward if they mainly ride in dry conditions and keep their bike relatively clean — the open 5-spoke design doesn't have the sealed bearing protection of the Alpha version, so it's not the one we'd recommend for someone doing a lot of wet winter miles or gravel riding.

What you do get is CeramicSpeed's handbuilt bearing quality and the reinforced RS cage, which is a genuine step up from a stock SRAM pulley cage in both stiffness and durability. The color options are a nice touch too — we've had a few customers pick this over the black-only Alpha version specifically because they wanted to match their frame or accent colors.

The price difference between this and the Alpha version isn't huge, so if you're on the fence and ride in mixed conditions, it's worth spending the extra to get the sealed bearing protection instead. But for a clean, dry-condition setup, this gets you most of the benefit for less money.

We'd recommend this to riders who want a lighter, more affordable way into CeramicSpeed's pulley lineup and don't need the extra weather sealing.
