The CeramicSpeed OSPW Alpha Team Shimano GRX/XTR/XT 12-speed Di2 is an off-road-specific oversized pulley wheel system built for Shimano's GRX, XTR, and XT 12-speed Di2 derailleurs. Where CeramicSpeed's road-going OSPW systems chase pure aerodynamics, this cage borrows its shape from the OSPW RS road platform but is reinforced for the loads and impacts of gravel and cross-country riding. It's a drivetrain upgrade built around durability first, with the efficiency gains that come standard with CeramicSpeed's pulley technology.
The system runs 14-tooth and 20-tooth ALPHA Disc pulleys with a composite tooth profile, which cuts drivetrain noise and resists wear better than a bare aluminum tooth. The solid aluminum disc design closes off the pulley's spokes entirely, so mud, sticks, and trail debris have nowhere to wedge themselves in — a real consideration on a system meant for gravel and cross riding rather than a clean road drivetrain. Inside each pulley, CeramicSpeed's patented ADR bearing protection pairs a stainless-steel dust cover with a bladed groove structure that actively flings contaminants away from the bearing as it spins, backing up the hand-built hybrid ceramic bearings underneath.
It's compatible with both 9-45 and 10-51 cassette ranges, though CeramicSpeed notes that range isn't optional on Shimano's own stock cage — this system is what unlocks it. Complete OSPW systems built with ALPHA pulleys carry a lifetime warranty, which matters on a component that's going to see mud, water crossings, and rock strikes over its life. At 127 grams, the weight penalty for that extra protection is minor, and the system is available in Black or Silver to match a gravel or cross build.
