The CeramicSpeed OSPW Aero Alpha V2 is a direct-fit upgrade for SRAM Red AXS D1/E1 and Force AXS D1 rear derailleurs, built around the same aerodynamic cage that's made CeramicSpeed's OSPW system a fixture in the WorldTour pack. This version updates that cage to run CeramicSpeed's ALPHA Disc pulleys — composite-toothed wheels with the brand's patented ADR bearing protection built in — which is why it isn't a drop-in match for older-generation OSPW Aero cages. If you're running Red or Force AXS and want to keep the upgrade path open, this is the current cage to buy.
CeramicSpeed's own testing puts the aerodynamic gain at up to 60% less drag on the rear derailleur compared to a stock setup, with friction cut 35 to 40% versus the OEM pulley configuration. The structural cage design is doing double duty here — shaping airflow around the derailleur while still carrying the load of the pulley wheels and chain. The ALPHA Disc pulleys are the quieter part of the story: the composite tooth profile is noticeably less clattery than a bare aluminum pulley under load, and the ADR bearing seal is built to keep road grit and water out of the bearing race longer than a standard cartridge bearing would manage.
Every pulley, cage, and bearing is produced and hand-assembled in Denmark, and the aluminum pulleys bring the whole system in at 118 grams. A subtle pinstripe graphic on the cage is the only cosmetic change from the outgoing version — the rest of the upgrade is entirely in the bearing protection and pulley material. The system ships complete with the eTap AXS installation tool, so setup doesn't require anything beyond what's in the box. For a rider already invested in SRAM's AXS ecosystem, it's a straightforward way to shave real drivetrain friction without touching anything else on the bike.
