Colnago C68 Rossa Limited Edition Bike Info
The Colnago C68 Rossa Limited Edition Bike is a numbered road bike made to mark La Vuelta 2025, which started in Turin. Only 90 were built. It begins with the C68, Colnago's flagship road platform, and each bike is assembled by hand at the factory in Cambiago, Italy, where Colnago has been building frames since 1954. The edition number is marked on the fork, and a commemorative book that follows the route between Turin and Spain ships with every bike.
A Finish Applied by Hand
What separates the Rossa from a standard C68 is the paint. The base is Candy Red, a transparent red with ruby and garnet tones, and silver metal leaf is laid over it by hand on every frame. Two motifs run through the finish. A bull stands for both Turin and Spain, the two places the edition connects, and a rhombus pattern is taken from the floor of the Galleria Grande at the Reggia di Venaria. That pattern returns on the Prologo saddle and the bar tape, and Carbon-Ti bull graphics appear on the bottle cage screws. According to the La Vuelta organization, each bike takes about 50 hours to complete, painting included.
The C68 Underneath
The frame is Colnago's modular C68 construction, built from eight carbon parts rather than a single molded shell. That approach gives the factory control over the shape and layup of each section, and it is a different philosophy from a one-piece monocoque. The fork is carbon with fully integrated cable routing, the seatpost is a D-shaped carbon design with 15mm of offset, and the headset runs CeramicSpeed SLT treated bearings. The geometry is race-oriented: the 51cm, for instance, pairs a 71.8-degree head angle with a 410mm chainstay and a 388mm reach. It comes in three sizes, 48.5, 51 and 53cm.
Dura-Ace Di2 and ENVE SES 4.5 Wheels
The build is as serious as the paint. Shifting and braking come from Shimano Dura-Ace Di2, the 12-speed electronic groupset with hydraulic disc brakes, paired with an 11-30 cassette. The chainrings are a custom 52-36 from Carbon-Ti made for this edition, and the rear derailleur carries a CeramicSpeed oversized pulley wheel system in a Colnago x La Vuelta configuration. Carbon-Ti X-Rotor SteelCarbon 3 rotors measure 160mm in front and 140mm in the rear.
The wheels are ENVE SES 4.5, a deep-section aero wheelset, in a limited-edition build with Colnago x La Vuelta graphics and hand-spoked in Italy. Pirelli P Zero Race TLR SL tires in 700x28 give the wheels some volume for comfort on rough roads. Up front, the CC.01 integrated cockpit keeps the cables out of sight and carries the La Vuelta logo. The bottle cages are a replica of the La Vuelta trophy. Pedals are not included, so you can fit your own.
Who It Is For
This is a bike for a collector who wants to ride it, or a rider who wants something very few others will have. The C68 platform is made for fast road riding, and the Dura-Ace Di2 and ENVE wheels mean the build can be ridden as hard as the frame allows. With 90 units made, once a size is gone it is gone. Colnago lists it as coming soon, and RA Cycles can reserve one for you.
