The Wolf Tooth Direct Mount Chainrings for SRAM 8-bolt mountain cranks are designed specifically around SRAM’s T-Type Transmission drivetrains and chains. They let you choose the chainring size that truly matches your riding style, while upgrading to a stiffer, lighter, made-in-USA ring with an optimized tooth profile for better chain control.

Dialed for SRAM Transmission and T-Type chains

These chainrings use Wolf Tooth’s patented Drop-Stop® B wide–narrow tooth profile, tuned for 12-speed chains and SRAM T-Type chains. In practice, this gives you:

• Excellent chain retention, even on rough trails
• Less noise and fewer dropped chains
• Improved mud and grit shedding for smoother running in bad conditions

Pair them with a clutch-style rear derailleur and you have a drivetrain that stays quiet and secure when the trail gets rough.

8-bolt direct mount compatibility

  • Ideal for SRAM MTB cranks with DUB Wide spindles designed around a 55 mm Transmission chainline
  • Also used to achieve a 52 mm chainline with standard DUB MTB cranksets
• 0 mm offset
  • Designed for SRAM XX1 SL DUB cranks to move the chainline from 52 mm out to 55 mm for T-Type Transmission compatibility

If you’re running full SRAM Transmission with DUB Wide, you’ll typically choose the 3 mm option. If you are on XX1 SL and converting to T-Type spacing, the 0 mm ring is usually the right choice.
