Wolf Tooth 110 BCD Gravel / CX / Road Chainrings Info
The Wolf Tooth 110 BCD Gravel / CX / Road Chainrings are a cornerstone of modern 1x drivetrain performance, originally developed for cyclocross and now proven across gravel, commuting, power-meter-equipped mountain bikes, and even full road builds. Built around Wolf Tooth’s patented Drop-Stop® tooth profile, these chainrings deliver exceptional chain security, durability, and efficiency in a wide range of riding conditions.
The wide/narrow tooth design maximizes contact on the drive side to spread load and extend chainring life, while the narrow teeth create space for mud and debris to clear—reducing friction and noise. The result is a quiet, dependable drivetrain that stays planted when terrain gets rough or conditions turn messy.

- Mud-Shedding Efficiency: Narrow teeth create clearance for debris, lowering friction.
- Broad Application: Ideal for gravel, cyclocross, commuting, and 1x road builds.
Compatibility & Setup Notes
These chainrings are designed for 110 BCD 5-arm cranksets. Stock 2x chainring bolts will not work; dedicated 6mm single-ring bolts are required. Rings may be mounted in either the inner or outer position on a double crankset, though the outer position is most common for chainstay clearance. The ring centerline sits approximately 2mm closer to the frame than a typical stock big ring, depending on the original ring design.
For SRAM cranksets with a hidden bolt, the hidden bolt must be transferred from the original SRAM chainring to the Wolf Tooth ring. For best chain security, a clutch-style rear derailleur is recommended; in very muddy conditions, a chainguide or chainkeeper is advised.
Final Take
The Wolf Tooth 110 BCD Gravel / CX / Road Chainrings are a proven solution for riders committing to a clean, reliable 1x drivetrain. With Drop-Stop® chain control, a wide size range, and USA-made precision, they deliver confidence and efficiency across gravel roads, CX courses, and the open road.
