Camelbak

CamelBak invented the hydration pack in 1989 when its founder filled an IV bag with water, stuffed it in a tube sock, and pinned it to his jersey during a Texas bicycle race. Thirty-five years later, the company remains the benchmark for hands-free hydration — and the cycling-specific packs in this collection carry that same core idea forward with purpose-built reservoirs, low-profile designs, and bite valves built to work at full effort.

The RA Cycles CamelBak collection covers hydration packs for road and trail riding, a hydration belt for run segments, and a quick-grip handheld bottle for riders who prefer to carry it. Whether you're heading out on a multi-hour training ride or looking to simplify your hydration setup on a hot day, CamelBak's solutions are proven across decades of real-world use.

About CamelBak

CamelBak was born in 1989 out of necessity on a hot Texas bicycle race. Michael Eidson, an EMT competing in the Hotter 'n Hell 100 in Wichita Falls, needed a way to drink without stopping. His solution — an IV bag filled with water, inserted into a tube sock, and pinned to his jersey with a hose — became the prototype for the modern hydration pack. Eidson founded CamelBak Products that same year, and the company grew quickly, eventually settling in Petaluma, California. What started as a race-day improvisation is now the most recognized name in hands-free hydration, with products in use across cycling, running, hiking, and military applications worldwide. Visit CamelBak's official website for the complete range.

RA Cycles stocks the CamelBak cycling lineup including the Octane LR and Classic hydration packs for longer rides, the Hydrobak for riders who want a minimal low-profile setup on the bike, and the Arc 1 hydration belt for run segments or triathlon use. A Quick Grip handheld bottle rounds out the selection for riders who prefer to carry hydration in hand rather than on their back.
