Cables

Cable work is one of the highest-return maintenance moves in cycling — fresh inner cables restore crisp shifting and reliable braking for almost nothing compared to a full service visit. RA Cycles' bike cables collection covers 90 products across every type you need: mechanical shift cables, mechanical brake cables, hydraulic hose kits, and cable housing, for road, gravel, and mountain applications.

Brands include Jagwire, Campagnolo, SRAM, TRP, Nokon, Yokozuna, and Magura. Whether you're restocking a work stand for a season overhaul, chasing down a spongy brake feel with a new hydraulic line, or replacing worn housing before a big event, the range covers everything from basic stainless steel inner wires to coated premium performance kits built for specific groupsets.

Bike Cables at RA Cycles

Cables are wear items — they stretch, corrode, and collect friction over time. Regular replacement (once a season for most riders, more often in wet conditions or high-volume use) is one of the most cost-effective ways to keep your bike running cleanly. Mechanical cables use an inner wire inside outer housing to transmit force from levers to brakes and derailleurs. Hydraulic hose systems take a different approach entirely — force moves through sealed fluid lines, and replacement involves hose, fittings, and a proper bleed. Knowing which type your groupset uses is the starting point for any cable replacement.

The collection covers both. Jagwire leads with 23 products across housing kits, shift cables, and brake cables for road and mountain specs. Campagnolo offers groupset-matched cables and hose kits for Ergo systems. SRAM covers hydraulic hose kits across their disc brake lineup, from road to mountain. Nokon, TRP, Yokozuna, and Magura fill out the range with specialty options including compressionless housing and premium coated inner cables.
