The Chris King ThreadFit T47A 24 Bottom Bracket is a threaded bottom bracket for T47 frames, made for cranks with a 24mm spindle. Chris King's ThreadFit T47 line is meant to give you the larger shell of a modern frame, which supports frame stiffness, along with the precision and quiet running of a traditional threaded bottom bracket. A threaded cup is also the usual answer to the creaks that press-fit bottom brackets can develop.
The bearings are the reason most riders choose Chris King. Each one is a sealed angular-contact bearing, made by Chris King in-house and inspected and assembled by hand at the company's Portland, Oregon factory. Chris King says its bearings get smoother as they wear in rather than wearing out. They are also user-serviceable, with a removable snap ring and seal, so you can maintain them without special tools. The bottom bracket cups install with Chris King's cup tool.
