The POC Joint VPD 2.0 Knee is built around POC's Visco-elastic Polymer Dough — a material that stays soft and flexible during normal riding but firms up on impact to absorb and disperse the force of a crash. That behaviour is what separates VPD from standard foam padding: it moves with your knee until it doesn't need to anymore.
The perforated construction keeps airflow moving across the knee on hard climbs and warm days, and the hook-and-loop closure system lets you dial in a secure fit without the guard migrating down your leg mid-ride.
