Simple, secure, easy to travel with. Sci-Con’s AeroComfort series takes the hassle out of packing your bike for plane travel. The Triathlon 3.0 TSA bike travel bag makes it easier still, with casters, locks, and reduced weight, and length enough to fit your extensions without taking them off.

If you’ve ever traveled with a bike before, you know that hard cases can get heavy. This tips the scales at 8kg (17.6lbs). It measures 109cm long by 103 cm tall by 50cm wide when a bike is inside (42.9” x 40.6” x 19.7”). And, because it only spends a fraction of its existence that way, the bag folds down to 104cm by 93cm by 23cm.

This is a soft bag, but one with a solid support system, good padding, and with your frame locked into the chassis, great security.

And here’s the best part. Once you know what you’re doing, it should take about five minutes to pack. You take off the wheels, remove the quick releases or thru-axles, lock the frame in the chassis, install the rear derailleur protector, put the gear you want to secure into the gear bag and attach it to the chassis, install the seat cover/strap guide, install the top tube frame pad, the handlebar pads, run the seat belt around the saddle to the frame, then the handlebar straps, put the wheels in the side compartment wheel bags, make sure it’s all locked down, zip the bag closed, install the TSA lock, and you’re good to go. You don’t have to take off your pedals, remove your handlebars, or seat.

Your bike will fit so long as the distance from the rear dropout to the saddle is 82cm or less, the distance from the rear dropout to the front dropout is 106cm or less, and the saddle to end of the brake hoods is 108cm or less. Handlebars are 49cm wide or less.

It will also fit road or cyclocross bikes or mountain bikes that are those dimensions or less. Cyclocross tires have a max width of 35mm.

Included with the case are: gear bag, thru-axle adapters, quick releases (for chassis), saddle cover, aerobar cover, storage bag (for case), handlebar pads, top tube pad, internal adjustable frame, rear derailleur protector, TSA lock, and two external carrying straps.
