Lazer Vento Kineticore Helmet Info

The Lazer Vento Kineticore Helmet is Lazer's fastest road helmet to date, developed with input from pro riders to cut drag without the usual tradeoffs in weight or ventilation. It's built around a sprint-focused head position, optimized to be fastest at a 15-degree forward angle, which is where a lot of road racing actually happens — out of the saddle, head down, pushing.

Lazer says the Vento is 2.3 percent more aerodynamic and 5.4 percent better ventilated than its predecessor, the Bullet 2.0, and at 290 grams (size M) it stays light for a helmet built around aero performance. Thirteen vents work with the Venturi Effect Ventilation System, which pulls hot air out through the rear of the shell rather than just letting air pass over the top, so the ventilation gains hold up even as the shape stays aero-focused.

KinetiCore handles rotational impact protection, built directly into the helmet's structure rather than added as a separate slip-liner, which is part of how Lazer kept the weight down. The ScrollSys fit system lets you adjust tension on the move with a simple scroll of the belt, useful when you need to tighten up before a hard effort without stopping. Vents at the front double as an eyewear dock, a Polygiene antimicrobial treatment helps control odor over repeated hard rides, and the helmet is compatible with Lazer's rear LED light for added visibility. For road riders who want genuine aero gains on group rides and races without sacrificing ventilation, the Vento Kineticore is built for exactly that trade.

The RA Perspective

We point riders toward the Vento Kineticore when they're already comfortable on the bike and want a helmet that helps on race day or hard group rides without turning into a sweatbox on the climbs. The Venturi ventilation system does what it claims — it stays noticeably cooler than older aero helmets we've sold, even though the shape is clearly built for speed over ventilation.

The ScrollSys dial is worth calling out. Being able to adjust fit mid-ride without stopping matters more than it sounds like it should, especially on long days when your head shape changes slightly with heat and fatigue. KinetiCore's rotational protection being built into the shell rather than added as a slip-liner is also why this helmet doesn't feel heavier than a standard road helmet despite the extra protection.

The tradeoff is that this is a dedicated aero helmet, not an all-day touring helmet — riders doing long, slow climbs in direct sun will feel more heat buildup than they would in a helmet built purely around ventilation. That's the nature of the aero category, not a flaw specific to this helmet.

We'd recommend the Vento Kineticore to road racers and fast group ride regulars who want real aero performance, and steer all-day comfort riders toward a more ventilation-focused option instead.
