Bianchi Oltre Comp 105 Di2 Bike Info
Bianchi has been building racing bicycles since 1885 — the oldest bicycle brand still in continuous production, and the name behind the Celeste color that has defined Italian cycling for over a century. The Bianchi Oltre Comp 105 Di2 Bike is the third model in the Oltre platform, Bianchi's most ambitious aero road bike program to date. Oltre translates to "beyond" in Italian, and the name reflects an approach to aerodynamics that goes beyond traditional tube profiling. Bianchi drew from aerospace, automotive, and architectural research to study how airflow behaves across the entire bike-rider system — not just around the frame — with the goal of managing drag from every angle a rider encounters on the road.
The Comp shares its monocoque carbon frame architecture with the RC and Pro models at the top of the Oltre range. Internal cable routing, a 1.5-1.5 integrated headset, and flat-mount disc brakes are standard across the platform. Both axles are thru-axle — 12x142mm rear and 12x100mm front — and the full carbon aero fork is cleared for tires up to 30mm wide. Available in six sizes from 47 to 59cm, the bike comes in two colorways: CK16 Celeste, Bianchi's signature shade since the brand's earliest racing days, and Dark Grey. According to Bianchi's wind tunnel testing, the Oltre platform saves 17.1 watts at 50 km/h compared to the previous-generation Oltre XR4, delivers a 5.1 percent improvement in crosswinds, and cuts 45 seconds from a 40-kilometer effort. Bianchi attributes a meaningful share of those gains to rider positioning — the rider represents roughly 80 percent of total system drag, and the Oltre's geometry is designed to minimize that contribution.
Within the Oltre family, Bianchi positions the Comp for aspirant racers, weekend warriors, and Gran Fondo contenders. It steps down from the Pro primarily in groupset, cockpit system, and the CV vibration-dampening technology that's built into the carbon on the Pro model. The frame geometry and aero architecture are the same across the range.
Electronic shifting is Shimano 105 Di2 — R7170 brake-shift levers paired with R7150 front and rear derailleurs, delivering immediate, battery-powered precision at a genuine cost advantage over Ultegra Di2. The build specifies a compact 50/34 crankset with cranks scaled to frame size (170mm for 47–53cm, 172.5mm for 55–59cm), paired with an 11-34 cassette across 12 speeds. That range suits the climbing-heavy terrain common in Gran Fondo events without sacrificing performance on flat roads. Braking is Shimano 105 hydraulic disc with 160mm Centerlock rotors. No power meter is included at this spec level.
Wheels are Velomann Carbon V50R — a 50mm profile carbon rim with 21mm internal width and a weight of 1,630 grams per set. Tubeless-ready, the rim runs Pirelli P7 700x28c tires as specced, with the option to convert to tubeless with compatible tires. The cockpit is a matched Velomann Aero Compact system: alloy handlebars with 74mm reach and 116mm drop — 400mm wide on 47–53cm frames and 420mm on 55–59cm — paired with a size-specific Velomann Aero alloy stem running from 90mm on the 47cm to 120mm on the 59cm. Cable routing is fully internal through bar, stem, and frame. The seatpost is the Oltre Full Carbon Aero specific design with 20mm offset. Bar tape is black soft microfiber. Pedals are sold separately.
At $4,800, the Oltre Comp 105 Di2 is the most accessible entry into a frame platform Bianchi developed with WorldTour competition in mind. The frame tells the same story as the RC and Pro — the same aero geometry, the same monocoque carbon construction, the same six-size range — paired with a drivetrain that serious amateur racers and Gran Fondo riders train and compete on regularly. The CK16 Celeste colorway is one of the most recognizable in the sport, and it looks better in person than in any photo.
