Bianchi Infinito 105 Di2 Bike Info

At $4,200, the Bianchi Infinito 105 Di2 Bike is the most direct path into the 2026 Infinito platform — the newest and most significantly updated carbon endurance frame Bianchi has built in years. The frame story is the same regardless of build level: a fully integrated carbon chassis and fork that delivers 12 watts of aerodynamic improvement over the previous Infinito, with a taller stack for endurance comfort, longer chainstays for stability at speed, clearance for tires up to 700x40, and a hidden down tube compartment for a multi-tool or wind jacket. All of that is present here, with Shimano 105 Di2 electronic shifting and an honest price.

The Countervail Vibration Cancelling System in the seatpost is the same part on every Infinito regardless of build. Bianchi's updated viscoelastic material — bonded into a full carbon aero-flex seatpost — absorbs road vibration at the contact point while keeping the frame stiff for power transfer. The zero offset on smaller sizes is designed around hip angle optimization for breathing efficiency over long rides. It is not a component that scales with price. You buy the frame, you get the seatpost.

The drivetrain is Shimano 105 Di2 — R7150 derailleurs front and rear, R7170 hydraulic disc brakes and shift-brake levers, a 50/34 crankset with Shimano 105 R7100, and an 11-36 cassette providing a practical range for mixed-terrain riding and sustained climbing. Di2's electronic architecture is the same across the 105, Ultegra, and Dura-Ace tiers: consistent, repeatable shifts actuated by a wired system with a seatpost-integrated battery. There is no power meter on this build.

Where the base Infinito parts ways with the Pro tier is at the wheels and tires. The Bianchi B 30R alloy wheels are a functional, durable foundation — well suited to training miles, rough roads, and the kind of everyday riding this bike is built for. The tires are Pirelli P7 Sport in 700x35, a proven training tire at a width that works well with the Infinito's geometry and clearance. If you eventually want to move to carbon wheels or tubeless tires, the frame supports it fully. But as a starting point, the B 30R and P7 Sport combination is honest and capable.

The cockpit is Bianchi alloy throughout — alloy stem and Aero Compact alloy bar — and the saddle uses manganese rails. The bike is available in two colorways that don't appear at higher build levels: Metallic Celeste / CK16, a two-tone take on Bianchi's signature color, and Burgundy Red / White, a striking combination that's uncommon in the carbon endurance category. Both are available across the full size run from 47 to 59cm.

Design Benefits

  1. 2026 Infinito carbon frame — same platform as higher builds: The fully integrated carbon chassis, Countervail seatpost, internal storage, 12W aero improvement, and 700x40 tire clearance are present at every build level. The frame does not change with price.
  2. Countervail seatpost across the full Infinito range: The updated viscoelastic vibration-cancelling seatpost — zero offset for optimized hip angle — is the same component found on every 2026 Infinito. It absorbs road shock without compromising frame stiffness.
  3. Shimano 105 Di2 electronic shifting: Precise, consistent, wired Di2 architecture shared with Ultegra and Dura-Ace. Reliable across varied conditions, with minimal maintenance requirements and a seatpost-integrated battery that holds charge through long training blocks.
  4. 700x35 tires / 700x40 max clearance: The Pirelli P7 Sport at 35mm provides durable, capable coverage for training and mixed-surface rides. The frame supports up to 40mm for riders who want to go wider.
  5. Internal down tube storage: Onboard compartment for a multi-tool or compact wind jacket — standard across the 2026 Infinito range and a genuine practical benefit for long-day riding.
  6. Exclusive colorways: Metallic Celeste / CK16 and Burgundy Red / White are color options available only at this build level — distinctive finishes for riders who want something other than black or standard celeste.

Final Take

The Bianchi Infinito 105 Di2 is the most accessible build in the 2026 Infinito range, and the one that makes the clearest case for what this platform is about. The frame is identical to the versions above it — same carbon construction, same Countervail seatpost, same storage, same geometry. The savings come from alloy wheels and a training tire, both of which are upgradeable when you're ready. At $4,200 for a fully electronic carbon road bike with internal storage and 40mm tire clearance, the value is straightforward.

The RA Perspective

This is the bike we recommend when someone wants to get into the 2026 Infinito platform without overthinking the component spec. The frame and Countervail seatpost are identical to the Pro versions — that's not marketing language, it's literally the same part number. The $1,000 gap between this and the Infinito Pro 105 Di2 is entirely accounted for by carbon wheels and a tubeless tire, which matters to some riders and not at all to others.

The B 30R alloy wheels are not a weakness. They're durable, they true easily, and they'll handle whatever training roads you throw at them without complaint. If you ride in conditions where carbon wheels make you nervous — salt, grit, high-debris surfaces — alloy is the right choice anyway. And the Pirelli P7 Sport is a solid training tire at 35mm; it's not the P Zero, but it does the job.

The Shimano 105 Di2 groupset is, honestly, excellent. We have customers who ride it for years without touching a cable or barrel adjuster. The 11-36 cassette gives you real climbing range, and the 50/34 chainrings work well for mixed terrain. No power meter, which is the one thing some riders will notice — but it's easy to add a pedal-based power meter later if that matters.

The color options here are worth a mention: Metallic Celeste / CK16 is one of the better two-tone Bianchi colorways we've seen in a while, and Burgundy Red / White stands out in a field of mostly black carbon bikes. Worth considering before moving up.
