Kogel

Kogel Bearings specializes in one thing: replacing the weak link in your drivetrain. The premise is straightforward — the bearings that come stock in premium frames are typically the lowest-cost component on the spec sheet. Kogel builds ceramic alternatives engineered to spin more freely, run more quietly, and last longer than the hardware that shipped with your bike. They offer distinct seal options for road and off-road use, because conditions matter and a single seal specification doesn’t serve both.

The RA Cycles Kogel collection covers bottom brackets for every major frame standard — Italian thread, T47, BB86, PressFit 30, and more — plus the Kolossos oversized pulley cage and ceramic pulley wheel upgrades for Shimano, SRAM, and Campagnolo. If your drivetrain has a bearing, Kogel has a better one for it.

About Kogel Bearings

Kogel Bearings was founded in 2013 by Ard Kessels in El Paso, Texas, starting in a 5x10-foot storage unit with a mission born from Kessels’ years running a bike shop in Belgium. The frustration was direct: even expensive bikes shipped with bearings that ranked last on every spec sheet. In wet Belgian conditions, they failed early. The company motto — “just because it fits, doesn’t make it right” — shaped a product line built on native ceramic solutions for each crank-and-frame combination, skipping the adapters and compromise fits that plagued stock hardware. Kogel backs every product with a best-in-industry one-year warranty. Visit Kogel’s official website to learn more.

At RA Cycles, the Kogel collection covers the full drivetrain efficiency spectrum. Bottom brackets are available across Italian thread, T47, BB86, and PressFit standards, each offered with road seals or gravel/MTB seals depending on your conditions. Oversized ceramic pulley wheels for Shimano Dura-Ace, Ultegra, and Campagnolo reduce friction at the derailleur jockey wheels, and the Kolossos pulley cage system takes that further — replacing the full derailleur cage with a larger-diameter, ceramic-bearing setup compatible with current 12-speed electronic groupsets including Campagnolo EPS.
