Custom Colnago Steelnovo Road Bikes

The Colnago Steelnovo is a modern Italian steel road bike built the way Colnago has always built frames — by hand, in limited numbers, with obsessive attention to craft. Columbus steel tubes joined by 3D-printed lugs, seamless hidden welds, fully integrated cable routing, a carbon fork with tapered headset, and clearance for up to 35mm tires. The T47 oversized bottom bracket and SRAM Universal Derailleur Hanger keep the platform current, while the 27.2mm round seatpost and steel's natural compliance deliver a ride feel that carbon can't replicate. Annual production is capped at 400 frames.

Choose your groupset below — Shimano Di2, SRAM AXS, or Campagnolo Super Record WRL — and we'll build your Steelnovo by hand, specced exactly the way you want it.

About the Colnago Steelnovo

Colnago was founded by Ernesto Colnago in 1954 in Cambiago, a small town east of Milan. The brand built its reputation on steel — frames for Eddy Merckx, Giuseppe Saronni, and generations of professionals who demanded precision and durability above all else. The Steelnovo is Colnago's 70th anniversary tribute to that legacy, combining Columbus steel tubing with 3D-printed joints manufactured by Additiva in Modena. Each frame requires a full working day of artisanal craftsmanship, and the result is a bike that rides like the best steel always has — smooth over rough pavement, lively under power, and composed at speed — while looking and functioning like a thoroughly modern road machine.
