The Yeti ASR is a fast and versatile mountain bike that is ready to go fast wherever you take it. The ASR was a staple in the Yeti lineup and now it’s back and better than ever. Since its inception, Yeti Cycles has been at the forefront of pushing boundaries, and the ASR is a testament to that ethos. As the lightest full suspension bike in their lineup, the ASR has everything you need for XC performance. Born from the rugged terrain of Colorado, where trails demand agility and resilience, the ASR has evolved over the years to become a versatile and high-performance machine, trusted by riders worldwide.
This version of the Yeti ASR is crafted with their TURQ carbon fiber. This is the lightest and stiffest carbon in their arsenal and is used by their highest level athletes. They used their zero redundant carbon method to make sure only what was completely necessary was used in the construction of the frame. Every component is meticulously selected to shave off excess weight, making it effortlessly maneuverable on climbs and nimble through technical descents. With 20+ years of carbon crafting experience at their back, Yeti knew that they could push the limits of carbon removal and come up with a bike that is fast in all areas of the trail.
At the heart of the Yeti ASR lies its meticulously tuned suspension system, designed to offer a perfect balance of plushness and efficiency. With a progressive leverage rate, the ASR smoothly transitions through its travel, soaking up bumps and rough terrain while maintaining traction and control. On this premier version of the ASR, you will find a high level RockShox SIDLuxe Ultimate 3P shock with a TwistLoc for 115mm of rear travel. The RockShox SID Ultimate fork adds another 120mm of front travel. Whether you're sending it down rugged descents or navigating technical climbs, the ASR's suspension system adapts seamlessly to the trail, providing a confidence-inspiring ride that encourages riders to push their limits.
Yeti's commitment to rider accommodation extends to the ASR's size-specific stiffness, ensuring every rider experiences optimal performance tailored to their individual needs. From the XS to XL frame sizes, each iteration of the ASR is engineered with specific layups and tube shapes to deliver consistent handling and responsiveness across the board. Externally routed cables keep them from shaking in your frame while an integrated fender keeps mud out, so things run smoothly. On this one, you will find a SRAM X0 Eagle groupset for electronic 12-speed trail shifting. The frame can also accommodate larger dropper posts depending on size.
