Ruedas HED

HED Wheels started in a Minnesota garage in 1984, when Steve Hed built his first carbon disc wheel because the aerodynamic gear he wanted simply didn't exist. That wheel changed cycling — and HED has been at the forefront of aero wheel design ever since.

The RA Cycles HED collection spans road, triathlon, and gravel: the wind-tunnel-tested Vanquish series for time trials and triathlon, the deep-section Jet RC and Jet 180 lines for aero road performance, and the Stillwater and Lancaster wheelsets for mixed-surface riding. Every wheel is still hand-built in Roseville, Minnesota, by builders who carry forward the same exacting standards Steve Hed set four decades ago. HED's innovations — deep-section carbon profiles, wide internal rim widths, and mounted-tire wind tunnel testing — are now standard across the industry. The wheels that changed the game are still built by the people who invented it.

About HED Cycling

HED Cycling was founded in 1984 by Steve Hed in Roseville, Minnesota, starting with a single carbon disc wheel built in a garage because the aerodynamic equipment he wanted didn't exist. HED went on to pioneer deep-section carbon rim profiles, wide internal rim widths for lower rolling resistance, and mounted-tire wind tunnel testing — methods now standard across the industry. HED wheels have competed at the Tour de France, Giro d'Italia, the Olympics, and the Ironman World Championship. The RA Cycles HED collection covers road, triathlon, and gravel with 56 products. The Vanquish series — available in 45mm, 62mm, and 84mm rim depths in both standard and Pro builds — is HED's benchmark for triathlon and aero road performance. The Jet RC series spans shallow to deep-section aero road riding, while the Jet 180 disc wheel is built for maximum triathlon advantage. Gravel riders will find the Stillwater G50 and Lancaster G25 in the collection. Every wheel is hand-assembled in Minnesota.
