The Pinarello Dogma X
Race Farther
The Race Bike for Everyone
Most riders chase the Dogma F. And they should — it's one of the greatest race bikes ever made. But here's the thing most people won't tell you: the Dogma X is the bike most riders actually need.
It carries the same Italian DNA, the same obsessive engineering, and the same race pedigree — but it's built for the way you really ride. Longer days. Rougher roads. The kind of miles where comfort isn't a luxury, it's a strategy. The Dogma X doesn't ask you to choose between speed and forgiveness. It gives you both.
The Italian Way
Pinarello has never been interested in "good enough." Since 1952, every frame that leaves Treviso carries the same expectation: ride better than anything else in its class. The Dogma X is no exception.
Where other brands treat endurance bikes as watered-down race machines, Pinarello treats the X as a different expression of the same relentless pursuit — a bike shaped by decades of Grand Tour victories, but tuned for riders who want that precision over the long haul.
T1100 1K Carbon
At the heart of the Dogma X is Toray's T1100 1K carbon fiber — the same material trusted at the highest level of professional racing. Paired with Nanoalloy technology, it delivers a layup that's light, responsive, and remarkably durable. The 1K weave isn't just structural — it's visible in the surface texture, giving the frame a depth and finish that photographs don't fully capture.
Form Meets Function
The Dogma X has that unmistakable Pinarello silhouette — the aggressive head tube, the sculpted seatstays, the fork that looks fast standing still. But every line serves a purpose. The tube profiles are shaped to manage airflow. The junctions are blended to reduce drag. It looks like a race bike because it is one — just one that happens to ride beautifully for hours on end.
The X-Stays
This is the detail that defines the Dogma X. Pinarello's X-Stays are a four-point seatstay junction that absorbs road vibration before it reaches the rider — without adding weight or sacrificing bottom bracket stiffness. The geometry of the stays themselves acts as a natural suspension system, flexing vertically to smooth out rough pavement while staying rigid laterally for efficient power transfer. It's the engineering that makes a five-hour ride feel like three.
Engineering Every Detail
Pinarello's ThinkAsymmetric philosophy accounts for the unequal forces generated during pedaling — chain tension on the right, nothing on the left. The Dogma X compensates with an asymmetric layup and tube shaping, delivering balanced power transfer and predictable handling under load.
Wider tires mean more grip, more comfort, and more versatility — and the Dogma X accepts up to 35mm. Run 28s for pure road speed or go wider for mixed-surface confidence. The frame and fork are designed to maintain clean airflow regardless of tire width.
The Onda fork is tuned for a slightly higher 47mm rake, giving the Dogma X a more composed feel at endurance pace. It tracks cleanly through fast descents and absorbs front-end vibration without dulling the steering response.
Higher stack, slightly shorter reach, a touch more rake — the Dogma X's geometry puts you in a position that's fast enough to race but sustainable enough to ride all day. It's the difference between feeling good at mile 20 and still feeling good at mile 100.
The MOST Talon Ultra handlebar completes the cockpit with a 13% weight reduction over its predecessor. Revised carbon lamination delivers better vibration damping at the hands — exactly where you feel fatigue first on long rides.
Dogma F vs. Dogma X
The Dogma F is a pure-blooded race machine — stiff, aero-optimized, and built to win on the world's hardest stages. The Dogma X shares that DNA but redirects the engineering toward endurance. Where the F prioritizes maximum stiffness and aggressive geometry, the X introduces X-Stays for vertical compliance, a taller head tube for a more sustainable position, and 35mm tire clearance for versatility.
The F uses M40X while the X uses T1100 1K carbon which makes the F less likely to absorb road bumps. Both use Pinarello's asymmetric design and are UCI-legal race machines. The difference is intent: the F is built for the rider who wants every marginal gain on race day. The X is built for the rider who wants that same Italian precision across every road, every distance, every ride — without compromise.
If you're racing criteriums and chasing KOMs, the Dogma F is your bike. If you're doing centuries, grand fondos, and multi-day adventures — or if you simply want a race bike that treats you well over the long haul — the Dogma X is the smarter choice.
Think Asymmetric
Every pedal stroke generates unequal forces — the chain pulls the frame to the right while the left side bears only your weight. Most frames ignore this. Pinarello doesn't. The ThinkAsymmetric design compensates with a stiffer right chainstay and different carbon layups on each side of the frame, so every watt transfers cleanly and predictably to the rear wheel. You feel it as stability — especially when you're out of the saddle or pushing hard into a headwind.
Going Wide
The Dogma X accepts up to 35mm tires — a meaningful jump from the 32mm limit on the Dogma F. Wider rubber means a larger contact patch for better grip, a more forgiving ride over rough surfaces, and the confidence to ride roads you'd otherwise avoid. Run 28s for pure speed, 32s for the sweet spot, or 35s for mixed terrain. The frame and fork maintain clean airflow at any width.
MOST Talon Ultra Light
The MOST Talon Ultra Light is more than a handlebar — it's the control center of the Dogma X. With a 13% weight reduction over the previous generation and revised carbon lamination, it delivers better vibration damping where it matters most: at your hands. Clean internal cable routing keeps the cockpit tidy, and the ergonomic drop shape reduces fatigue on long days in the saddle.
Bottom Bracket Stiffness
The Dogma X maintains a highly reactive bottom bracket area — tuned slightly more forgiving than the F, but still firm enough that every pedal stroke feels immediate and connected. Power goes to the rear wheel, not into frame flex.
Flat-Mount Disc Brakes
Clean integration, consistent stopping power in all conditions. The flat-mount disc brake standard keeps the caliper tight to the frame for better aerodynamics and easier maintenance.
Integrated Seatpost Clamp
The seatpost clamp disappears into the frame design — cleaner lines, smoother airflow, and one less detail to distract from the sculpted silhouette. It also allows for controlled seatpost flex, contributing to the Dogma X's comfort.
Pinarello Headset
Pinarello redesigned the headset with an elliptical steering tube and split-diameter bearings. The result: a slimmer head tube that cuts through the air more efficiently while maintaining the precise steering feel the Dogma name demands.
Find Your Size
The Dogma X comes in 11 sizes — one of the widest ranges in its class. Endurance geometry means a taller stack and slightly shorter reach compared to the Dogma F, putting you in a position that's fast but sustainable. A few millimeters can make the difference between a bike that fits and a bike that disappears beneath you. Our team can help you dial it in using your height, inseam, current bike fit, and riding goals.
