La King RS está construida como un monocasco sobre la base y las formas de la King3. Pesa menos de 1 kg, un 10 % menos que la King3. Esta nueva King RS participó con éxito en el Giro de Italia de este año y despertó una gran admiración entre los ciclistas profesionales.

The RA Perspective

We don't get many chances to sell a frame with this much direct racing history attached to it, and that's the first thing worth knowing about the King 3 RS. This isn't a frame De Rosa designed for a catalog — it's descended from the carbon frame built for the 2008 Rock Racing Team and later ridden by the Fly V Australia team, and it still carries that race-first character in hand.

The build details reflect that. A 70mm Italian threaded bottom bracket instead of press-fit is a small thing that matters over years of riding — it's quieter and easier to service, even if it's less common on newer frames. The custom Mizuno fork and integrated seatpost are De Rosa's own parts rather than off-the-shelf components, which is typical of how De Rosa has always built — fewer generic parts, more pieces designed specifically for this frame.

The tradeoff with a frameset like this is that you're buying into an older platform rather than the newest shapes coming out of Italy right now, and you'll need to source your own build kit. But for a rider who wants a genuinely light, race-pedigreed Italian carbon frame with a story behind it — and who already has, or wants to build up, a groupset and wheelset to match — the King 3 RS is a frame worth building around.
